摘要
This paper deals with the behaviour of a multistage whirling bed column to be used for drying liquid products. This operation consists in spraying the product on the surface of fluidized coarse particles (d//p equals 4 mm) which are heated by a gas. Experiments have been carried out using various particles in order to study the influence of the main parameters such as natural and physical properties of coarse particles, gas and solid flowrates. Experimental results show that the behaviour of the column can be compared with vertical pneumatic conveying. However in our system the solid mean residence time is much longer.
