Hydraulic resistance of channels for cross over has been experimentally investigated, using a model. The geometric dimensions of the model are based on the arrangement of the cross over for a tube air heater of a P-57 R boiler. A sketch of the model is given. Experiments were conducted by series (11-13 tests in each series), and the air flow rate supplied to the stand varied. The calculation of the hydraulic resistance for Z-cross over should be made according to the usual formula for local resistance with the local resistance coefficient equal to 1.75. In this case the area to be calculated is the area of the most narrow section of the channel.
