摘要
Dial-up and ISDN access to frame relay, Internet links and better customer network management are today's key trends. Among alternative cell- and packet-based wide area data services, frame relay is the most highly developed and profitable service available in the 56 kb/s to T-1 speed arena. Today, frame relay services are offered primarily along fixed routes called permanent virtual circuits (PVCs), which are connection paths determined at the time of subscription. Multiple PVCs can be established over a single access line to attain simultaneous logical connections to remote locations.
