QUENCHING AND TEMPERING TREATMENT ON HIGH STRENGTH STEEL TUBES BY THE INDUCTION HEATING PROCESS.

摘要
This paper deals with the method of using induction heating for steel tube quenching and tempering, the property of the steel tubes thus treated, and the service results of such tubes. Through studying seamless tubes of alloy steels 35CrMo and MnMoB, it is shown that the steel tubes possess high strength, toughness, homogeneity, and less oxidation and decarburization after quenching at 880-960 degree C and tempering at 600-750 degree C. Good results have been achieved with these tubes in some fields such as petroleum, geology and construction.
