摘要：
The volume is the result of a study undertaken to evaluate the effects of nuisance growth of algae on water quality characteristics. The study included a survey and review of the research and development work carried out on eutrophication both in Australia and overseas; an assessment of the applicability of available information; and identification of problem areas requiring further research. The report discusses basic concepts, effects and problems associated with eutrophication, nutrients and other parameters, indices and other parameters, indices and measurement of eutrophy, control, research and recommendations on dealing with the problem in Australia.
