摘要
An arrangement is shown by means of which electrostatic discharge (ESD) - susceptible states of a product can be studied more productively than with randomly timed discharges. An ESD generator is set into its single-shot mode and triggered during suspected susceptible states of the product. The susceptible states can be identified and individually studied and fixed. If the person operating the equipment can identify a susceptible state, the product designers can usually put in hardware modifications or software retries or something else to fix the problem at low cost. The benefits of synchronized ESD testing (compared to randomly timed discharging) are listed.
