The papers and discussions in this volume deal with how computers are being used today in mining and the lines of future development. Among the topics discussed are computers as an aid to the mining department; project equipment planning and control using computers; real time applications for small digital computers at colleries; the direct computer control of some coalface operations; administration benefit from computerization; and computer education for the mining engineer.
