Diagnostics of the barium component of high-temperature superconductors by the plasma emission optical spectroscopy in barium dipivalylmethanate vapors

A diagnostic complex for solution of technological problems in the synthesis of high-temperature superconductors of the Y(Ln)Ba2Cu3O7 type by the chemical deposition of Y, Ba and Cu from the vapor phase of dipivalylmethanates (DPM)n is developed. The complex is based in the detection of the emission optical spectra up the plasma of a low-frequency capacitive discharge in vapors of Ba(DPM)2. The Ba and Ba+ concentration variation dynamics is determined by the intensity of Ba+ and Ba emission in the 180-260°C temperature range of the Ba(DPM)2 evaporator.
