Type 0Kh23N28M3D3T steel is self-passivated in a hydroxylamine sulfate solution and has a high corrosion resistance even at 100 degree C. However, cathodes made from this steel in an anodic protection system for hydroxylamine sulfate tanks are subject to corrosion at 40 degree C. In the absence of sulfite in the industrial solution of hydroxylamine-sulfate cathodes of type 0Kh23N28M3D3T steel are corrosion resistant with intermittent polarization.
