Emission Conditions Associated with the Use of Raw Materials Containing Thallium in the Rotary Cement Kiln with Suspension Preheater.

The author presents a mathematical model and shows that in the rotary kiln system with suspension preheater equipment high thallium concentrations are expected to occur also in the external cycle and that the concentration build-up in the cyclic process can, as in the rotary kiln with grate preheater, give rise to unacceptable emissions. A method of reducing the thallium emission is proposed, which reduces the emissions of other low-boiling compounds.
