摘要：

The nonlinear characteristics of an amplifier which is designed to amplify the complete TV signal are analyzed. It is shown how the relative level of third-order distortion is related to the output current of different types of transistors. On the basis of these relationships, recommendations are made with respect to the application of particular transistor types for use in a combined amplifier for picture and sound signals. The maximum achievable power output of an amplifier operating in this manner is calculated.
