摘要
The author discusses the use of a high-power CO2 laser beam in materials processing. Following a description of the design and mode of operation of the laser radiation source and an analysis of the interaction between laser beams and material, some examples of the application of the laser in metal cutting, welding and coating are cited, with particular attention being paid to the mechanism of these laser processes.
