Time-frequency analysis of vibrating signals of pump bearings

摘要
The vibrating signals collected from pump bearings by a velocity-sensor were analyzed with short time Fourier transform (STFT), wavelet, transform (WT) and wavelet packet transform (WPT) in the paper. The results indicated that the WPT improved the distinguish ratio of middle-high frequency band, overcomed the shortcoming of the STFT and the WT. It suits for feature extraction fault characteristic of bearing fault diagnosis and can also promptly and accurately diagnose the fault of a pump bearing.
