摘要：

This paper describes the status of development of precision agriculture in the US and the profile of precision agriculture center. From these the concept of precision agriculture that precision agriculture is information agriculture is emphasized. The site-specific crop management and yield map analysis are important to precision agriculture. Geographic information system has close relation with precision agriculture. Finally, the recent issues of precision agriculture are listed. All above will likely be helpful for the development of precision agriculture in China.
