Economic analyses of solar designs are presented to provide an accurate basis for computing operating power and fuel consumption, and the corresponding operating costs using projected fuel and electric power rates. The net savings in owning and operating costs over the same time period allow a simple calculation to determine the number of years it would take to recover the initial investment.
