摘要：
The implementation of a Distributed Computer Control System (DCCS) requires special attention to be given to the problems of synchronization, data validity and system-wide data consistency. Currently available programming languages are designed mainly for non real-time processing in a single processor. These languages are therefore difficult to adapt for use in DCCSs. This article describes 'Shoptalk', a distributed computer language shell that directly caters for real-time control in flexible manufacturing systems.
