摘要：
Since cable tray routing often requires penetration of fire rated walls and floors, it is necessary that a firestop be installed at that penetration. The potential impact on allowable cable ampacity has been recognized. However, analytic techniques for determination of the necessary cable ampacity derating have been scarce. A method for anlaytic determination of maximum allowable cable ampacity for cable installed in open top trays with firestops is presented and the theoretical approach tested against experimental data.
