A cylindrical periodically strengthened thin shell stiffening the cavity in an elastic isotropic space is suggested as a mathematical model of the shaft segmental lining. The model permits reflecting, in the design diagram, production peculiarities of the tubbing as an assamblage of similar elements and describing the tubbing operation as a spatial structure. The analysis of computation results obtained from the derived formulas shows that conditions of the plane strained state are for the main tubbing part along the height. The volume stressed state is realized in the stiffened area.
