An influence of small plastic deformations and following aging on properties, structural strength, tendency to brittle fracture and corrosion cracking steels of 38Kh5MSFA type is estimated. Sheet steel is subjected to static tension after heat treatment. Aging is carried out at 20°C (60 days) and 200°V (2 h). It is found that the steel specimens tend to strain aging that is manifested via raising in yield limit, tensile strength and lowering in uniform elongation.
