摘要
Recently various possibilities of controlling the evolution of shear flows has been investigated. In order to slow the development of instability in a mixing layer it is excited at the frequency most unstable according to the linear perturbation theory. Control of turbulence by means of an external acoustic field is studied. Numerical solution of the two-dimensional equations of an inviscid compressible gas show the development of instability at the frequency of FO can be suppressed by exciting acoustic oscillations at the frequency 2FO.
