摘要
It is well known that delayed neutrons are important in the operation of nuclear reactors: this paper is concerned with the effects of postulated changes in energies of delayed neutrons on the calculated dynamic behavior of a simplified model of a fast power reactor after an assumed loss of sodium coolant. Delayed neutron spectra have been varied from very 'soft', with nearly half the delayed neutrons below 40 kev, to extremely 'hard' (close to a prompt neutron spectrum), and associated changes in reactor reactivity, power, period and effective delayed neutron fractions have been calculated using a one-dimensional diffusion model.
