Properties of Helically Welded Pipes and Possibilities of Their Application for High-Pressure Gas Pipelines.

摘要：
The article discusses the properties of helically welded pipes during their manufacture, handling, and assembly. Attention is also given to cold bending of the pipes and to their bending with the aid of induction heating. Quality testing of these pipes, monitoring their operational behavior, and checking their corrosion and cracking resistance is also dealt with. It is concluded that helically and longitudinally welded pipes are equivalent alternatives in terms of their engineering applicability and their mechanical properties.
