Laboratory data on effective yield loci of silage materials and wall yield loci of silage and some structural surfaces are obtained and the salient features of these data are emphasized. Computer results are presented to illustrate the effects of wall friction and silo diameter on the magnitude and distribution of silage pressures in tower silos.
