摘要
The transmission line is an important component in the overall electric transmission system and its safe working is therefore important. It can be damaged by adverse climatic conditions. A steel-reinforced aluminium conductor (ACSR) is often used for high-voltage transmission lines and a testing system has been developed using eddy currents to examine the outer aluminium wires, and magnetic flux leakage (MFL) to test the steel core. The principles and the method are discussed in this paper. The results indicate that it is feasible to use comprehensively the methods on transmission lines.
