Stylus Arm Changeover Coupling for Computer Controlled Coordinate Measuring Devices.

In order to perform a variety of measuring tasks on any workpieces with coordinate measuring devices, it is often necessary to have fir tree arrangements of stylus combinations. However, in many cases it is still not possible to avoid changing the stylus arm. This is mostly performed by hand. The article presents a coupling, which enables automation of stylus arm changeover and removes the need for recalibration after the changeover.
