摘要：
The ″James Ensor″ is a twin-screw trailing suction hopper dredger. The design incorporates a high degree of subdivision and can withstand single compartment flooding. The engineroom is located aft, hopper amidships and pumps with pumproom forward. The dredger features a high degree of instrumentation and automation, while the advantages of functional simplicity for ease of maintenance, reliability and maximum operational time are retained thus ensuring maximum production. The overall length of the vessel is 105 m. This article reviews select design features, such as dredging equipment, propulsion plant, deck machinery, steering gear, and accomodations.
