Methods of improvement in electrostatic separator efficiency

Emissions into atmosphere from devices cleaning the gases should be reduced. In connection with this, operation of electrostatic separators has been considered. It has been shown that simple measure can be taken in order to decrease dust emissions. Process of cleaning the gas from dust is very complex and insufficiently studied. However, efficiency of the process can be evaluated according to amount of collected dust. Electrostatic separators used at thermoelectric power plants have been discussed. Mathematical model of degree of gas cleaning has been used. This makes it possible to find various methods.
