Subsea Oil Loading System for Tankers (SOLS).

The offshore oil loading facilities known at present have a number of disadvantages with respect to safety and costs. Feasibility studies have therefore been carried out and are being continued for examination of the concept of a subsea oil loading system and in particular for engineering of the individual components. The fact that the loading system is situated under water means that it can also be used in environments such as ice hazard areas.
