摘要
The ( alpha - gamma ) martensitic transformation caused by hydrostatic pressure up to 20 GPa was investigated in Fe-31. 8% Ni-0. 001%C. The effect of pressure on specimens containing lenticular martensite after preliminary cooling to the martensitic point (216 K) or to 77 K was studied at room temperature. High pressure leads to thin plates of austenite in the martensite crystals, the number and sizes of which increases with pressure. The crystallographic orientation of the austenite formed as a result of reverse transformation differs from that of the retained austenite and its twin orientation.
