Profitability improvement through proper business structures

In the paper some different business structures are analysed in the aim to improve the profitability of the company. These structures are: cost structure, market structure, customer structure, order structure and product structure. The systems approach is adopted, since these structures are interrelated and thus cannot be treated separately. Analysis and improvement of these structures should be carried through in a close collaboration among different departments of the company. Participation, support and engagement of the top management of the company in the analysis and implementation of changes is essential for them to have a long term effect.
