An effective energy-conservation program, like any activity, requires feedback on performance. Since massive, company-wide energy conservation is relatively new at most companies, the best techniques are still under development and evaluation. For existing facilities, energy conservation is monitored using the :activity method; energy-rate method, variable energy-rate method; tracking charts. Each method of monitoring energy conservation has its own application.
