摘要
Various applications of Mossbauer spectroscopy to the study of mechanically alloyed materials are described. Broad fluctuations of composition and of long-range order take place in alloys synthesized from elemental powders and in ground ordered alloys respectively. The existence of such inhomogeneities must be taken into account in the analysis of diffraction patterns. Nanocrystalline Fe1-xSnx solid solutions are investigated with 57Fe and 119Sn Mossbauer spectroscopy to characterize separately the contributions of grain and grain boundaries to the spectra.
