摘要：
The paper presents and discusses a review of the literature that deals with the research devoted to the determination of simple formulas and tables relating capacity to such factors as approach width and number and type of lanes. Other factors affecting the capacity of traffic signal approaches have also been documented and quantified. The factors affecting saturation flow and other parameters of the traffic signal departure process are also discussed.
