MOLECULAR TRANSPORT IN SEMIDILUTE MACROMOLECULAR SOLUTIONS.

In this review particular stress is put on problems related to sedimentation, but much attention is also paid to diffusion transport in polymer solutions. The principal objective of this is to review some characteristic features associated with transport phenomena in moderately concentrated macromolecular solutions, and to analyze these features in the light of recent theories. Various concentration regimes and their physical significance is outlined. General aspects on sedimentation in semidilute solutions are presented. General characteristics of diffusion in moderately concentrated macromolecular solutions are summarized. Frictional properties are also examined.
