摘要
Mutual interaction between thickness control and tension control in a single stand rolling mill system is studied. A mathematical model representing a rolling mill and reel dynamics is constructed. Through simulation it is revealed that mutual interaction existed and it adversely affected thickness control. In order to decouple this interaction, a multivariable control system is designed. Simulation studies proved that, by using the new control system, interaction is reduced and excellent thickness control could be achieved.
