摘要
Robots have been extensively used in the shipbuilding industry. The level of utilization of a robot station and the level of automation in shipbuilding as such depend heavily on flexibility of the technology. Robots in themselves are flexible because they can be programmed, but the ability to generate programmes for tasks with a high level of complexity has until recently been limited. Now there is a new generation of off-line programming technology based on mathematical collision avoidance. This seems to cover all needs for robot programming in shipbuilding.
