摘要
Solutions to technical and political problems have opened up some promising areas for exploration and development. However, key frontier basins that have yet to be explored by modern technology include the Penyu-Natuna basin in the Gulf of Thailand off the coast of Thailand and Malaysia, the Gulf of Venezuela basin, off the U. S. Atlantic coast, the Grand Banks-Labrador shelf region, the Porcupine Bight basin off the west coast of Ireland, and areas of the Barents and Norwegian Seas.
