摘要
The author considers the case where a single circular burn is observed, assuming that it is rather unlikely for two or more burn-throughs to arise simultaneously in the surface layer of the batch. An effective method of overcoming the indeterminacy in relation to the parameters is to replace in the probability relationship, the unknown parameters by the so-called evaluations of the maximum probability. The decisive rule in observing a burn-through is to compare the 'generalized' relationship probability with some threshold value. It is shown that after obtaining the values of two of the unknowns they must be substituted in the expression for the generalized probability relationship. Simplifying algebraic transforms leads to a simple decision rule for observing the fact of a burn-through. The proposed method can be used simultaneously to observe and eliminate one-line burn-through in the batch in glass-melting electric furnaces and also in the solution of the tasks of planning the optimum structure of the measurement system.
