A 'Dry' calorimeter with a superdimensional waveguide for the measurement of energy of a powerful electromagnetic radiation in a pulse

An adiabatic calorimeter of cm-wave band is described. It is used to measure the energy of electromagnetic radiation in a pulse. As an absorbing medium cermet is used. This material has the electromagnetic radiation absorption coefficient equal to 0.98. Total sensitivity of the calorimeter is 11 micro V/G, calibration error-±10%. Two charts for the monitoring of the outlet signal of the calorimeter are described, and measurements errors in each chart are estimated. The energy range for separate pulses is 0.1 J-hundreds of kJ. The upper limit of power being measured is 7 GW. The sluggishness of the calorimeter is &le15 sec.
