摘要
A finite element modal approach to the analysis of rotor-bearing systems of any size is presented. The procedure utilizes a finite element model of the rotor shaft based on the consistent representation of both mass and elasticity as distributed parameters, while the bearings are assumed to be of the fluid film type. Modal analysis is introduced as a coordinate transformation to drastically reduce the number of differential equations without reducing the degrees of freedom in the finite element reference model. The application of the method to steady-state unbalance response and stability threshold analysis is described. The accuracy of the approach is verified by recalculating both numerical and experimental results from the published literature.
