This paper deals with the combustion engineering research of coal and prevention of air pollution in thermal power plants. An outline of pulverized coal combustion engineering is given. Further, the fluidized bed combustion method and coal-oil slurries are discussed within the content of new combustion engineering that will be put into practice in the near future.
