Processor Controlled Setting and Verification Equipment for the E. B. U. /I. R. T. Time-and-Control Code System.

Novel setting equipment is described for the E. B. U. /I. R. T. film time-and-control code system which, in addition to the preadjustment of the slave clocks, makes possible the readout of all data in plain language as well as the verification of the synchronism by data and phase comparisons. The utilization of a microcomputer and of some special computer-controllable function modules made it possible to maintain the cost of the hardware at a low level. This combined setting and verification equipment makes it possible to set and verify all slave clocks at present on the market.
