Discussions on the method of extracting coastline in SAR images

摘要：
The paper uses B-spline wavelet function for edge detection of SAR images and makes the coastline become more distinguishable by wavelet transform characteristics of step function. According to the edge direction, an edge pixel centered local area can be divided into two parts. Whether edge is coastline or not is ultimately decided by ratio of average gray level of two parts. Experimental results show the effectiveness of the method to some extent.
