摘要
An approach to design a digital fiber optic receiver is given. Various types of receivers designed so far are reviewed with emphasis on long wavelength systems and compared both from the design and performance points of view. Receivers using PIN diode and APD as sensors and BJT and FET as the input amplifying devices in the high impedance and transimpedance configurations are analyzed.
