摘要
The effect of magnetic fields and acoustic waves on the splitting of Raman-scattering lines is analyzed. It is demonstrated that the magnetic fields in a laser plasma, B approximately equals 1 mG, should cause a significant splitting of the Raman-scattering lines DELTA lambda approximately equals 20 A. These effects can in principle be exploited as a plasma diagnostic technique for investigating the strength and configuration of the magnetic fields in a laser plasma.
