The pulp producers set new North American price targets higher than the European targets following a flurry of price announcements. With implementation of generally $30/ton hikes, European list prices would be $420/ton effectively. Inventories fell in August by a 60,000 tons to 1.72 million tons as against 172,000 ton drop in the last two years.
