This article reports on the basic results of temperature field calculation in thermionic fuel rod, given the eccentricity of the emitter and the collector and body heat release axial asymmetry in the fuel, with the allowance for the thermomechanical deformations, caused by this field. It is demonstrated, that, in general, the effect of emitter-collector system axial asymmetry on the emitter temperature field is small, and it is unnecessary to take it into account in calculating the integral current-voltage characteristics of thermionic fuel rods.
