摘要
The experimental method is described and the results given of a study of the acoustic contact problem in the rapid ultrasonic testing of rails. Equations are given for calculating the trajectory of a probe passing over an isolated nonuniformity in the rail surface and the way this trajectory depends on the speed of motion and the parameters of the suspension system. It is recommended that an automatic clamping system be used to increase the lifetime of probes.
