Investigations were performed on beta -Co (99. 3%) and aluminium (99. 99%). The initial heat treatment had been chosen in such a way as to produce a grain size of similar 0. 1 mm. The conclusion that the logarithmic state of the time dependence changes to exponential, predicted by the activation theory and experimentally established for Cu and Ni, remains valid for Al and beta -Co.
