Diesel-operated vehicles are described which were delivered on the occasion of the completion of the first electrification project in Taiwan. This project covers a distance of 865 km. Electric and mechanical characteristics are outlined. It is claimed that these vehicles will provide inexpensive but reliable maintenance.
